Software Developer Engineer, Alexa AI - Natural Understanding

Requirements

• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems
• Fluency in written and spoken English (CEFR B2 + level)

Nice to Haves

• Track record of building and delivering 24x7 production software systems
• Experience with statistical modelling/machine learning
• Interest in improving self-service tools and effectiveness
• Comfortable with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results

What You'll Be Doing

• Gather requirements, design, and code services for Machine Learning/AI tools
• Test and maintain products, improving reliability and filling tooling gaps
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to investigate design approaches
• Handle on-call duties, deploying fixes, and resolving high-sev issues
