Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
2 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
2 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
Nice to haves:
3 years of experience responding to security problems, looking at security alerts, analysis, and response.
Experience in Python, Go, C/C++, or Java.
Experience with signals development and threat hunting/modeling.
Experience in analysis of data sets and intrusion detection systems.
What you'll be doing:
Identify security issues and implement and design security controls, tools, and services to improve security systems and processes.
Participate in a 24/7 global operation that hunts for and responds to security events on Google's networks.
Perform investigations on a wide variety of events from various sources to determine whether they pose a threat to Google.
Work with teams from around Google to discover new detection capabilities and logging sources.
Create and develop new tooling to enable scaling of detection capabilities.
