Software Engineer, Routing Infrastructure and Analytics

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in software engineering.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in network infrastructure and software-defined networking.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the design and development of new control systems features, including BGP/Routing security and safety mechanisms at the Internet Edge and in Network Core.
• Participate in the engineering efforts within the team and with partner teams, from design to implementation, and solving complex technical challenges around scalable control of Google’s production network traffic.
• Be able to productionize, deploy, and operate control systems and tools in collaboration with SRE and other Engineering teams.
• Collect and analyze data from the network to provide actionable insights and motivate new designs.
• Adopt best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
