Backend Engineer, Subscriptions

Requirements

• Experience building and scaling Python, Java or equivalent based services on a large scale cloud platform, such as Google Cloud Platform
• Exposure to scalable database technologies, such as Postgres
• Excellent problem-solving and fast decision-making skills with strong bias for action
• Strong writing and communication skills. Comfortable driving engineering deep dives and workshops, as well as stakeholder demos
• Dedicated and thrives in a collaborative team environment, where members support and improve each other through effective communication and feedback

What You'll Be Doing

• Solution design and end-to-end implementation of capabilities in Spotify’s internal commerce platform
• Work in a team that implements change to complex systems at high scale
• Collaborate with other teams across Spotify to deliver value to our users
• Gain exposure to backend, data and ML-based systems
