Backend Engineer - Europe Risk and Controls

Requirements:

• 4+ years of Java 11+ knowledge
• Experience with complex systems distributed across several microservices, kafka, scattered data, and ownership
• Willingness to contribute in UI-related projects
• A strong product mindset and passion for user experience, prioritizing work with customers in mind
• Strong problem-solving skills to refine problem statements and make data-driven decisions
• Ability to drive complex technical decisions and get buy-in from stakeholders
• Hands-on knowledge of system integration patterns

• Building robust, scalable, and error-free integrations with partners and providers across Europe
• Providing a truly local experience in existing markets across the continent
• Experimenting and iterating quickly, validating hypotheses
• Participating in the product life cycle, including mobile engineering efforts
