Senior/Principal Distributed Systems Engineer

Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale distributed systems in production, with recent experience in building large scale cloud services.
• Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Experience leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• Strong development skills in one or more of the following languages: JavaScript, Java, Python, C, C++, Go.
• Experience working with infrastructure from major cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• Security mindset

Nice to Haves

• Experience as a Tech Lead

• Design, develop and scale security solutions that enable Snowflake employees to achieve their business goals while protecting sensitive customer data
• Partner with security, engineering, and product teams to define and set the strategy for security practices and processes
• Lead and manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
