Network Engineer II (Edge&Core Networks)

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of networking in routing & switching (BGP), TCP/IP stack;
• Solid hands-on experience with AWS Network resources (Transit Gateways, VPCs, Subnets, etc.);
• Solid experience in network security, deployment, and management of firewalls in public cloud environments like AWS;
• Experience in network automation using Python and Terraform (3+ years).

Nice to Haves:

• Familiarity with multi-vendor network environments;
• Familiarity with Internet architectures, Internet security, peering at global exchange points;
• Demonstrated skills in incident response and vendor management.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Ensure the reliability, security, and availability of Booking.com's public cloud network infrastructure;
• Operate, maintain, and improve large-scale network infrastructure in multiple public cloud vendors and regions;
• Automate network provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring through scripting and tooling;
• Collaborate with teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot networking solutions;
• Monitor and optimize network performance, address issues, and minimize downtime;
• Work with multi-vendor environments, coordinate incident management and resolution;
• Engage with vendors and partners for network support and escalations.
