Data Engineer II - SRC - Music

Requirements

• You have strong SQL skills and deep experience with data modeling and warehouse design
• You have experience building and operating batch data pipelines at scale
• You are comfortable working with modern cloud data warehouses
• You have experience with analytics engineering tools
• You have worked with workflow orchestration platforms
• You can write production-quality code in languages such as Scala, Python, or Java
• You understand data quality practices and have built monitoring and alerting systems
• You take ownership of solutions end-to-end
• You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• You enjoy learning new domains and tackling complex data challenges

What You'll Be Doing

• Build and maintain data pipelines and analytics infrastructure for Spotify's rights management platform
• Own batch and streaming pipelines generating core datasets for Spotify Rights Center
• Develop and evolve analytics models for reporting system reliability, adoption, and business ROI
• Partner with various teams to define metrics, build dashboards, and inform strategic decisions
• Maintain data export pipelines connecting backend services and data warehouse
• Implement data quality practices and validation tests for reliable pipeline outputs
• Contribute technical solutions supporting licensing, financial engineering, and content platform stakeholders
• Participate in product ideation and support a collaborative engineering culture
