2026 University Graduate - Software Development Engineer

Requirements

• You must be graduating in 2026 with a Computer Science degree or equivalent

• Passionate about programming and how it can be applied to solve real-world problems

• Naturally analytical, using data to justify your decisions

• An interest in how large organisations successfully deliver groundbreaking software applications – developer methodologies in practice

• Great communication and collaboration skills

• Excellent debugging and diagnosis skills across technologies and distributed systems

• Be able to clearly explain complex issues

• A strong background in either Java (or equivalent, strongly typed programming language), or in front-end development technologies (e.g. Web Components, React, ES6, TypeScript, Vue, Angular, GraphQL)

• Experience in designing and developing scalable and distributed RESTful APIs

• Experience with CI/CD

• Experience with New Relic, Splunk, Prometheus and Grafana

• Experience with cloud service providers, especially AWS & Azure

• An enthusiasm to learn any of the above areas if you don't have experience

• Collaborate with a team to craft and deliver solutions that deliver outstanding applications and user experiences

• Build backend services and frontend experiences, with an eye for high performance, traceability and accessibility

• Bring a fresh perspective based on your remarkable experiences to the team and apply this perspective to the project scope
