Senior Software Engineer Team Lead

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• 12+ years of experience or equivalent knowledge
• Expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern web development (React or equivalent)
• Deep knowledge of architecture patterns, distributed systems, and performance optimization
• Experience with full-stack development (APIs, databases, frontend, integrations)
• Comfortable with AI/ML integration and prompt engineering for product features
• Product mentality: you think about user impact, not just technical elegance
• Bias toward action: you ship iteratively and improve based on feedback, rather than perfecting in isolation
• Strong ownership: you proactively identify risks, communicate blockers, and drive your work to completion without heavy direction
• Proficiency in English, both writing and speaking
• Ability to influence without authority across Product, Design, and peer engineering leaders

Nice to Haves

• C++ or systems programming background applied to web performance challenges (WASM, optimization)
• Experience in leading engineering teams or squads
• Experience working with distributed teams
• AI/ML deeper knowledge

What you'll be doing

• Set the technical and cultural standard: make pragmatic architecture decisions, mentor engineers on ownership and velocity, and resolve technical disagreements through clear decision frameworks.
• Bridge product and engineering: partner directly with Product Managers and Designers to shape features, translate user needs into technical roadmaps, and ensure delivery aligns with business impact.
• Champion high-autonomy culture: model fast iteration, explicit ownership, while coaching others to do the same in our high-velocity environment.
• Lead cross-team impact: drive high-visibility initiatives spanning multiple engineering teams, represent technical decisions to stakeholders, and ensure your team’s work sets standards for the broader organization.
