Android Software Engineer

Requirements

Required technical qualifications

• 2 - 6 years of experience in native Android application development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK
• Experience with modern Android architecture, including dependency injection (e.g. Hilt, Dagger) and asynchronous programming (e.g. Kotlin Coroutines and Flow)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Nice to have technical qualifications

• Familiarity with AOSP or building system-level apps
• Knowledge of security best practices
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing frameworks

What you'll be doing

The Hardware stream is dedicated to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Adyen's In-Person Payments hardware solutions, which are deployed globally across the retail, hospitality, travel, and entertainment sectors. Our team collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to address various aspects such as payment terminal user interfaces, firmware quality, and the integration of our payment terminals.
