CAD Physical Design Intern (m/f/d)

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS, or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At the end of the internship, you must return to school to continue your education or the internship must be the last requirement for you to graduate.
• Programming in TCL and/or Python
• English language fluency (written and verbal)

Nice to Have

• Familiar with physical design P&R flow including floor-planning, placement, clock balancing and routing
• Used P&R tools like Innovus, physical compiler
• Ability to Generate, Interpret and Present complex data, graphs, plots

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop, maintain, and enhance existing sophisticated software systems for Apple’s pre-silicon designs
• Inform the design of the next generation of regression systems
• Work closely with EDA vendors to incorporate new capabilities of their commercial tools
• Resolve problems related to CAD and chip design engineering efforts
