Site Reliability Engineer, Payments, London

Requirements

• Experience and proficiency in event-based and log-based monitoring systems, deployment tools, Unix, and AWS.
• Experience supporting and scaling large enterprise applications in a critical "follow-the-sun" environment.
• Excellent code-debugging/optimization, analytical problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to clearly and accurately communicate day-to-day operations to ensure detailed hand-off to regional SRE teams.
• Proven record of taking ownership of exciting problems and optimally delivering results.
• Interest in designing, analyzing, and solving problems in large-scale distributed systems.
• Application development experience in object-oriented and functional programming languages.
• Drive high levels of engagement through discovery sessions, enablement, and solution positioning with executives and technical partners.

Nice to Haves

• Prior experience in supporting large-scale banking or payment systems is a plus.
• Expertise in API design and interface technologies.
• Expertise with container platforms (e.g., Docker or similar).
• Expertise in monitoring, debugging, and code analysis (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar).
• Fast learner who is generous with their knowledge.
