Data Infrastructure Engineer, Shazam (Fixed Term - 12 months)

Requirements

• Continuous learning and improvement mindset, willing to push yourself outside of your comfort zone
• Understanding and application of software engineering best practices
• Understanding of troubleshooting distributed systems
• Familiarity with cloud technologies
• Familiarity with DevOps tools

Nice to Haves

• Self-starter and happy to build collaborative relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Interest or experience in analyzing and working with large datasets in BigQuery
• Interest or experience in managing GCP infrastructure via Terraform
• Interest or experience in orchestrating batch jobs in Airflow

What You'll Be Doing

• Help maintain the data platform's infrastructure
• Utilize the platform to build new features and content
• Work across a wide array of systems and technologies including batch and real-time streaming pipelines
• Participate, contribute, and lead impactful projects to help grow and improve the data platform
