Platoon Software Engineer - Backend

Requirements

• 4 or more years of experience in building, maintaining, and debugging software
• Programming in Java or other Object Oriented language
• Experience designing and architecting distributed systems

Nice to Haves

• Experience with platforms such as cloud infrastructure, orchestration, and messaging systems
• Experience with Spring Boot or equivalent framework
• A solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data caching
• Familiarity with software testing and openness to gain more expertise
• Open to working across multiple timezones and geographies

What You'll Be Doing

• Understanding of the existing system to a complete depth
• Coding to a high and consistent standard, that you will help form
• Contribution with innovation and ideas to engineering discussions
• Helping the team improve the future architecture of the system
• Debugging and troubleshooting of distributed applications
• Excellent communication skills, and coordination with the internal engineering teams and external vendors
