Cellular Engineer - Carrier Technology Management

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of the 3GPP protocol stack, from RRC/NAS to MAC/PHY
• Expertise in cellular networks, cellular radio spectrum, and cellular infrastructure
• Understanding of mobile device RF hardware systems: PAs, filters, antennas, etc.
• BS/MS/PhD in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent work experience

Nice to Haves

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• English language proficiency
• Expertise with data analytics / manipulating large data sets using spreadsheets and/or relational databases (SQL)
• Proficiency with software tools/scripting: Unix shell script, Python, etc.
• Familiarity with processes for the development of sophisticated software systems
• Expertise in IETF protocols: TCP, HTTP, SSL, etc.
• Experience with real Large Language Model (LLM) deployments is a plus

• Utilizing technical knowledge in the cellular ecosystem
• Managing and communicating the iPhone cellular roadmap
• Ingesting mobile network operator technical requirements
• Representing mobile network operators’ interests internally and externally
• Creating work products like presentations, slide decks, spreadsheets
