Software Applications Support Engineer

Requirements

• Hands-on software engineering experience in a large-scale environment, with a focus on Application Support Engineering.
• BS degree and equivalent experience or higher in CS or a related field.
• Coding knowledge in Java, Scala, and related frameworks.
• Good understanding of SQL.
• Skills and experience in monitoring, alerting, fault analysis, and automation.

• Strong communication skills and ability to drive triage of critical issues with multiple technical and business teams.
• Analytical problem solver who excels in data collection, analysis, and strategic decision-making based on quantitative results.
• Strong critical thinking abilities to solve complex problems with innovative solutions; experience in incident management and RCA of technical issues.
• Strong teammate who fosters collaboration; excellent social skills.
• Good knowledge of RDBMS, PL/SQL, NoSQL, Unix Shell Scripting, and AWS.

What You'll Be Doing

• Partner with engineering teams to prioritize and fix production defects.
• Work non-standard hours to support teams with ongoing incident mitigation.
• Share on-call rotation to support apps and services.
• Conduct RCA, log defects, and partner with the engineering team for prioritization.
• Automate tasks, maintain support documentation, and debug production issues.
