Software Development Engineer, Network Capacity Services

Requirements

• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice to Haves

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience with agile development practices

What You'll Be Doing

• Be part of a high-bar, agile team with global responsibility for the network capacity management software used across all of Amazon
• Analyze complex and conflicting requirements, elaborating processes and designing the software to back them up
• Continuously push for the highest quality standards and practices
• Operate the systems you build guaranteeing availability and efficiency
• Participate in the community of AWS engineers to drive innovation by bringing original ideas and approaches
