Software Development Engineer, AWS, EC2 Live Migration

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Experience in software development, with a focus on distributed systems at scale, networking, or infrastructure software
• Experience operating and supporting production cloud services, including on-call responsibilities
• Strong programming skills in at least one high-level programming language such as Java, Kotlin, C++, or others
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line tools

Nice to Haves

• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Proficient in at least one scripting language such as Python, Ruby, or similar

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, implement, and test new features and enhancements to our Live Migration control plane service in EC2
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to define requirements, priorities, and timelines for feature development and bug fixes
• Diagnose and resolve issues that arise in our production environment, ensuring that our service is always available and performing optimally
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers to ensure that our codebase is maintainable, scalable, and efficient
• Continuously improve our control plane service by identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and performance tuning
