Software Engineer I - Backend

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of software development experience; using one or more server-side programming languages such as Java, Perl, Python, Scala, C++, etc.
• Demonstrable experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Git and branching strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously improve.

Nice to Haves:

• Proficiency in Java and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.
• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Proficiency in Perl scripting is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).

What You'll Be Doing:

• Developing robust and scalable backend services.
• Collaborating with developers to create cohesive and functional code.
• Optimizing applications for performance and scalability.
• Managing and maintaining code repositories using Git.
• Developing and maintaining containerized applications with Kubernetes.
• Writing and maintaining Perl scripts.
• Working with teams to integrate automated testing and deployment processes.
