Senior Software Engineer

Requirements:

• BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years of relevant cloud infrastructure/cloud networking experience
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development
• Experience building and operating large-scale systems
• Proficiency in Go, Python, C++, or other statically typed languages
• Solid understanding of basic systems operations (disk, network, operating systems, etc)

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Golang
• Experience using Apache Kafka

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, implement and maintain Golang infrastructure services (typically implemented as Kubernetes operators)
• Work alongside Confluent engineers to build their PaaS product
• Responsible for availability, performance, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning of Confluent cloud
• Contribute to the architecture and operational design of the new product
