Staff Software Developer

Requirements:

• 10+ years of relevant software development experience
• Extensive experience in software engineering, including 5+ years in designing and developing complex, large-scale distributed systems
• Expertise in Java and JVM technology
• Expertise in the internals of the Apache Flink Runtime
• Expertise in cloud-native technology, including networking & security

What You Will Be Doing:

• Develop a cloud-native unified batch and stream processing engine based on Apache Flink in Confluent Cloud
• Drive the architecture, design, and implementation of core parts of the "Flink on Confluent Cloud" offering
• Contribute to relevant proposals, changes, and features to open source Apache Flink
• Be a thought leader in the Flink community in the area of Flink runtime
• Evaluate and enhance the efficiency of the platform's technology stack

• Track record of technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving impactful technical decisions
• Active involvement in the Flink communities, conferences, and industry networks
• Experience running production services in the cloud and being part of an on-call rotation
