Senior Software Engineer

Requirements:

• BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years of relevant cloud infrastructure/cloud networking experience
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development
• Experience building and operating large-scale systems
• Solid understanding of basic systems operations
• Proficiency in Go, Python, C++, or other statically typed languages
• Experience/knowledge with public clouds (AWS, Azure or GCP)

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Golang is advantageous
• Experience using Apache Kafka is a big plus

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, implement and maintain Golang infrastructure services
• Work alongside the rest of the Confluent engineers to build the PaaS product
• Be responsible for the availability, performance, monitoring, and capacity planning of the Confluent cloud
