Senior Software Engineer - Datastores (Lisbon)

Requirements:

• You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related field or at least 5 years of professional experience
• You have production experience with distributed systems like Zookeeper, Cassandra, Postgres, etc.
• You are proficient in at least one programming language such as Go, Java, Rust, C/C++
• You thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
• You excel at designing simple and performant architecture for high-scale problem-solving

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, build and maintain scalable infrastructure to support a growing customer base efficiently
• Investigate and resolve issues or bottlenecks in platform code or client applications
• Provide 24x7 support for owned services and datastores
• Create tooling and automation for infrastructure management with minimal manual intervention
• Collaborate with developers on data model design and datastore choices

Nice to Haves:

• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider like AWS, Azure, or GCP
