Library Software Engineer - Java

Requirements:

• Experienced Java/C/C++ developer
• Experience with OpenJDK Java runtime
• Familiar with JVM ins and outs (GC, JIT, bytecode, etc)
• Written clean, correct, well-tested, and performant Java/C++ code
• Experience in measuring and optimizing code
• Strong testing discipline
• Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment

What You'll Be Doing:

• Developing performant code in Java and C/C++
• Working closely with other teams through working groups and RFCs
• Collaborating with profiling teams on new product ideas
• Ensuring quality criteria are met through shared testing platform and metrics

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with JNI
• Written a Java Agent before
• Experience with byte-buddy, asm, or other JVM instrumentation libraries
• Experience with other JVM runtimes like J9 or GraalVM
• Experience with performance optimization of applications, frameworks, and libraries
