Staff Library Software Engineer - Java

Requirements:

• Experienced Java/C/C++ developer
• Experience with the OpenJDK Java runtime
• Familiar with JVM ins and outs (GC, JIT, bytecode, etc)
• Written clean, correct, well-tested, and performant Java/C++ code
• Focus on performance optimization and code measurement
• Strong testing discipline
• Desire to work in a fast-growing startup environment

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop performant code in Java and C/C++
• Collaborate with other Libraries teams through working groups and RFCs
• Work with profiling teams to implement new product ideas
• Ensure quality criteria are met through shared testing platforms and metrics

Nice to Haves (Bonus Points):

• Experience with JNI
• Previous work on a Java Agent
• Knowledge of byte-buddy, asm, or other JVM instrumentation libraries
• Experience with other JVM runtimes like J9 or GraalVM
• Expertise in performance optimization of applications, frameworks, and libraries
