Senior Software Engineer - XPQ

Requirements:

• BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience
• Significant backend programming experience in one or more languages (Go, Java, Rust, C++)
• Interest or experience with query processing and/or database internals
• Exposed to working on problems (high durability / low latency /…)
• Able to get down to low-level when needed
• Care about simple designs and performance
• Desire to work in a fast, high-growth startup environment

What You'll Be Doing:

• Building and operating query execution engines, query planning, and cost-based optimization
• Diving deep into query language design and syntax to meet user needs
• Building fault-tolerant, horizontally scalable solutions in multi-tenant environments
• Writing code in Go, Java, Rust, or C++
• Owning meaningful parts of the service, impacting growth with the company
