Library Software Engineer - Rust

Requirements:

• Professional experience writing and deploying Rust code in production
• Significant experience building and maintaining native libraries (C/C++/Rust) that interoperate with other languages
• Attention to details and ability to build software with very low defect rates
• Hands-on experience in software design and leading refactoring initiatives to improve complex software libraries
• Interest in an environment that values shipping early, iterating, and minimizing processes to ensure safety

What You'll Be Doing:

• Work with engineering teams and open-source maintainers to build shared capabilities in Datadog’s APM SDKs
• Shape the cross-language interoperability stack, ensuring high-performance integration of shared Rust components
• Use profilers and debuggers to optimize performance-critical code paths
• Contribute to building a vibrant Rust community within Datadog
