Staff Software Engineer - RUM Platform

Requirements:

• Experienced in building scalable, distributed backend systems using technologies such as Kafka, Redis, and Java.
• Comfortable managing complex data pipelines and translating diverse data sources into actionable insights.
• Skilled at driving clarity across multiple teams and product surfaces.
• Familiar with open standards in observability, such as OpenTelemetry.
• Proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Preferred location in Paris or Madrid; other EMEA locations considered.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design and evolve platform infrastructure supporting frontend observability products across DEM.
• Build and scale data pipelines using technologies like Kafka and Redis for real-time data.
• Partner with various contributors to support open standards in frontend instrumentation.
• Guide collaboration by unifying backend infrastructure across product lines.
• Solve high-impact technical problems and provide architectural direction.
• Lead and mentor within the RUM organization and broader engineering community.
