Senior Engineer (Java/Kotlin) Vendor Growth, Orders Success

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with a strong preference for distributed systems and hands-on proficiency with Java, Kotlin, and frameworks like Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JUnit.
• Deep expertise in service-oriented & microservices architectural patterns, including troubleshooting and optimizing scalable systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP & AWS services such as RDS, DDB, Lambda, CW, EC2, SQS, SNS, Cognito, Kinesis).
• Proficiency with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Spinnaker, GitHub Actions, Drone, Travis, CircleCI).
• Demonstrated expertise in writing high-quality tests (unit, integration, E2E).
• Eagerness to contribute to the well-compensated Firefighter/On-call roster, ensuring the reliability of our systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance optimization techniques (caching, SQL query optimization, monitoring, profiling).
• Familiarity with error reporting and monitoring tools (Grafana, Sentry, Datadog, New Relic).
• An interest in understanding or contributing to frontend logic (ReactJS, Native Android, Flutter).

What you'll be doing

• Joining the mission-critical Orders Success Squad within Delivery Hero's Vendor Growth Product Line.
• Processing approximately 7 million food and grocery orders every single day.
• Driving best practices in development, architecture, deployments, stability, observability, and performance for central services.
