Data Engineer II - (Fintech)

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and experience in data analysis using SQL
• Experience with big data infrastructure on GCP or AWS
• Experience with tech stack or similar tools: Git, Airflow, Python, SQL, BigQuery
• Experience with pipeline and workflow management tools
• Love for continuous learning and improvement, willingness to explore new technologies
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR or ISO 27001
• Experience in payment, banking, or financial industry
• Familiarity with fast-moving tech businesses
• Knowledge of dbt and real-time solutions like PubSub/Dataflow

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with data analysts, product managers, backend engineers, and data scientists in cross-functional projects
• Advocate data engineering best practices and design principles within engineering teams
• Ensure performant and efficient data access layer in applications
• Conduct ongoing reviews of application code and database queries for software performance enhancement
• Review database queries and storage strategies
