Requirements

10+ years of experience in software development
5+ years of experience with software design and architecture
Experience running large scale distributed systems in production environments
Significant commercial experience with Java, Spring Boot, enterprise APIs, testing methodologies, and system design at high scale
Commercial experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, async processing, cloud native applications, working in a Continuous Delivery environment, and modern observability practices

Nice to have

Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Kotlin, or batch processing data pipelines
Experience working in an eCommerce organization or a shipping/logistics/exports organization

Consistently delivering against the product and engineering backlogs
Architecting secure, maintainable, and extensible solutions at eBay's scale
Supporting applications in production including setting up monitoring and alerting
Leading and mentoring team on best engineering practices
Contributing to the definition of features for services owned by the team
Improving velocity and testing through new engineering tools and processes
Communicating progress to team members and wider eBay colleagues
