Head of Kaggle Research

Requirements:

• PhD degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience with research agendas across multiple teams or projects.
• Coding experience in Python, JavaScript, R, Java, or C++.
• One or more scientific publication submission(s) for conferences, journals, or public repositories.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience leading a team of researchers and software engineers.
• Demonstrated expertise within generative modeling and experience with language models.
• Proficiency coding in one or more data science languages, and experience working with real datasets.
• Familiarity with ML competitions, Kaggle competitions, and the Kaggle platform.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries and functions.
• Demonstrated expertise in benchmarking and evaluation.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Create new paradigms for community-based benchmarking and evaluation.
• Collaborate with various teams to expand competitions platform.
• Publish research in academic journals and on Kaggle. Represent at industry events.
• Manage and lead the Kaggle Research team. Define Research strategy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders.
