Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in telecommunications at carrier scale working with optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers, and data services.
2 years of experience in telecommunications, Open Services Platform (OSP), Internet Service Provider (ISP), AC/DC power systems, and relay rack/cabinet/cage construction.
Experience with fiber types and their application, physical fiber characteristics, and standard testing tools (e.g., OSA, BERT, OTDR).
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in scripting or coding.
Experience in collaboration across multiple levels and functions.
Experience in a data center or PoP environment with the knowledge of OSP, ISP, AC/DC power systems, environmental controls relay rack/cabinet/cage construction.
Understanding of key protocols: Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Intermediate System to Intermediate System (ISIS), and Software Defined Networking (SDN) concepts.
Ability to travel up to 25% as required.
Passion for engaging and influencing tactical and strategic decision-making.
What you'll be doing:
Coordinate with Engineering, Network Planners, Acquisition Negotiators, and Local Neutral Colocation providers to create resilient plans for scalable networks in data centers and Metro Point of Presence (POP).
Create executable deployment packages for network and other infrastructure projects in the assigned region.
Own workflow execution and serve as a point of escalation for workflow issues.
Continuously improve workflow and automation processes and methodologies.
Support all resources and work closely with field teams to execute and deliver network infrastructure projects and objectives.
