Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer in an industrial environment.
Nice to haves:
Experience with high voltage equipment and systems (transformers, switchgear, protective relays).
Experience with power system analysis and design software (ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower).
Experience with LEAN Manufacturing/5S/8D practices.
Familiarity with industry standards and codes (IEEE, NEC, NESC).
Demonstrated ability to proactively influence the product design process by proposing improvements with associated data.
Demonstrated record of overseeing yield improvements and cycle time reductions for high volume and high complexity parts.
What you'll be doing:
Build and maintain influential relationships with Google's global manufacturing partners, guiding their development and production capabilities in alignment with long-term Google objectives.
Design, develop, and advocate the implementation of scalable manufacturing processes and systems for modular data center products. Optimize for cost, quality, and flexibility.
Collaborate with design, product management, and operations teams to identify and proactively address potential manufacturing roadblocks in early development phases.
Analyze and interpret complex production data to drive informed manufacturing strategies. Identify and implement solutions to optimize performance and efficiency across the supply chain.
Use Product Data Management (PDM) systems to create Bills of Materials (BoM), Approved Vendor Lists (AVL), and manage Engineering Change Notifications/Orders (ECN/O). Lead the PLM team to align forecast and BOM structures.
