Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience with API design and development for large-scale distributed systems.

Nice to haves:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Experience coding in Java or Kotlin.

What you'll be doing:

Be responsible for working across a wide range of technologies and to deliver new APIs, services, infrastructure, features and fixes to the Dataform platform and to our open-source projects.
Work closely with leaders across multiple teams to define product and technical requirements that can support new features, functionality and improvements across BigQuery and Dataform products.
Identify, propose and deliver improvements to processes, reliability, scalability, APIs and long term architecture that can support the team's mission.
Lead execution of critical workstreams across Dataform and BigQuery, planning, stakeholder management, and communication.
Design, implement, and launch new products, features, and components with high product excellence, technical quality, and at high velocity.
