Security Engineer, Detection, Security Surveillance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling.
• 2 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
• 2 years of coding experience in one or more general-purpose languages.

Preferred qualifications:

• 3 years of experience responding to security problems, security alerts, analysis, and response.
• Experience in Python, Go, C/C++, or Java.
• Experience with signals development and threat hunting/modeling.
• Experience in the analysis of datasets and intrusion detection systems.

What you'll be doing:

• Identify security issues and implement/design security controls, tools, and services to improve security systems and processes.
• Participate in a 24/7 global operation for hunting and responding to security events on Google's networks.
• Perform investigations on various events to determine threats to Google.
• Collaborate with teams across Google to enhance detection capabilities and logging sources.
• Create and develop new tools to scale detection capabilities.
