Data Scientist Tech Lead, Google Messages

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• 7 years of experience with statistical data analysis and statistical packages
• 5 years of experience with data mining and managing analytical projects
• 3 years of experience developing and managing metrics or evaluating programs/products

Nice to haves:

• PhD in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience in scripting or statistical analysis
• 3 years of experience preparing and delivering technical presentations
• Experience in scripting with SQL and design of ETL flows
• Experience in the areas of spam detection, abuse measurement, and platform integrity
• Excellent communication skills for translating analysis results into business recommendations

What you'll be doing:

• Own the data science program for Messages Spam and drive relationships between data science and data engineering
• Lead the design, analysis, and interpretation of product experiments related to Spam and business messaging
• Provide analytical thought leadership and suggest new analyses or experiments for business improvements
• Develop and manage problems by framing issues, generating hypotheses, and making recommendations
