Software Engineer III, Commercial App Solutions, Chrome OS

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

Nice to haves:

• 2 years of experience with software development in C++.
• Experience in Software Architecture and API Design.
• Experience in Web and App development.

What you'll be doing:

• Investigate, design and develop web APIs, unlocking desktop like capabilities on the web.
• Own your work start-to-end, gathering feedback from partners and app developers to improve APIs and ensure they perfectly match real-world needs.
• Work with privacy and security to balance new capabilities with the needs to protect our users against misuse by tricksters and malware.
• Become a member of the global Web ecosystem, enhancing the experiences of billions of users, whether they use Chrome OS, Chrome on a different platform or no Google products at all.
