Data Center Facilities Technician, Mechanical

Requirements:

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of Mechanical/HVAC experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
• Ability to participate in material handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, or moving up to 50 lbs of equipment.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and shifts.

Nice to haves:

• 5 years of experience in maintenance of mechanical/cooling distribution systems or construction/technical environments.
• Experience in data centers, hospitals, or power plants.
• Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting using standard hand tools.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems used in a data center environment such as Chillers, Air handling units, pumps, and CRAC/CRAH units.
• Ability to communicate with contractors performing maintenance or upgrades on data center systems.

What you'll be doing:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair various data center systems.
• Assist technicians by reading blueprints, conducting system tours, and assessing working order.
• Manage water pumps, treatment systems, HVAC systems, and control and monitoring systems.
• Operate and respond to abnormal conditions in data center facilities systems and equipment.
• Support the startup, commissioning, and integration of new mechanical equipment and systems.
