Network Implementation Engineer, Core Design

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or Telecom Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP or system design operations methodology.
• Experience working with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecommunications environment.

Nice to haves:

• Experience in Dense Wave-Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Routing topology and architecture.
• Experience in layer 1 optical transmissions systems, layer 3 routing TCP/IP, backbone networking, network design, or operations.
• Experience with managing scaled capacity augment/migration projects in a networking environment.
• Experience with Network System Design, Design Tools, Network Architecture and Technology, and Network Infrastructure.

What you'll be doing:

• Review and thoroughly understand Google's Network Architecture Standards.
• Communicate with internal business partners to collect drivers and deadlines for delivering network capacity.
• Design solutions for extremely high bandwidth network delivery, establish and ensure proper blend of CapEx and OpEx.
• Create high-level project plans that identify resource needs and critical path.
• Proven experience in the project and change management of complex projects.
