Software Engineer II, Front End, Trust

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms
• 1 year of experience with front-end and user interface development

Nice to haves:

• Experience working in a cross-functional team on creating user-facing products
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across time zones
• Passion to collaboratively finding solutions which take into account both user needs and legal requirements
• Interest in front-end work and learning other coding languages and technologies as needed

What you'll be doing:

• Work with the Web, Android, and iOS engineering teams and cross-functional partners on creating core solutions for designing and implementing consent and transparency experiences across Google products
• Partner with the UX team on developing a design library and a framework that makes it easy for clients to design and launch user-centric, research-backed, and compliant consent experiences
• Design and implement the solutions which expand capabilities of the platform and improve the velocity of the launches
• Collaborate with partners across Google (e.g., Search and YouTube) on product-specific launches and compliance efforts
• Participate in tech efforts, including optimizing performance and reducing technical debt
