Software Engineer Team Lead, AI/ML, Google Cloud

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience in a leadership role (technical leadership or people management, supervision, or team leadership).

Nice to haves:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
• 3 years of experience with Speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Experience with core GenAI concepts, applied experimentation, and building prototypes with LLMs.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead and provide technical guidance to a team of software engineers.
• Lead and participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and fellow engineers.
• Triage, debug, and resolve complex issues within the AI cost optimization systems.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and cloud.
