Staff Software Engineer, Health and Fitness Platform Development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development and data structures/algorithms in Java/Kotlin or more languages.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects.
• Experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
• Experience building production product backends and infrastructure.

Nice to haves

• Experience with Android application development.
• Experience with Android.
• Experience automating and scaling web or mobile back-ends.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, guide, and vet systems designs within the scope of the team or broader area. Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
• Lead multiple technical projects to deliver high quality and usable products for our customers across domains (e.g., Mobile, Backend, logging/analytics).
• Influence direction and roadmap of our product requirements and prioritization within our domain and across subteams, balancing new development with technical debt.
