Software Engineer II, Pixel Power Software

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Rust).
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• 1 year of experience working with embedded operating systems.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with C, C++ or Rust.
• Experience with Linux Kernel.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, develop and support advanced power optimization Software/Firmware for Pixel SoC.
• Prioritize optimization for power, latency and system stability.
• Debug and triage power issues.
• Improve observability of the hardware and subsystem power states to Android Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL).
