Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience in programming for Android, Java, or Kotlin.
Nice to haves:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
- Experience in Android OS.
What you'll be doing:
- Collaborate daily with the Android Framework and WindowManager teams, and also with remote teams globally (e.g., the US, Japan, Taiwan, Switzerland).
- Build the next set of features and user experiences for large form factors, and manage tests in new product areas.
- Work on cutting-edge technology and hardware to drive the future of mobile and desktop computing for Google’s and OEM's flagship devices.
- Work on various components of the Android OS, with a primary focus on the WindowManager, which requires strong cross-functional collaboration with teams like Product, UX, Privacy, and Security.
