Associate's degree, trade school certification, verifiable training in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of electrical, mechanical/HVAC or controls experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
Experience with control systems (e.g., power management systems, Building Management System (BMS), SCADA, field devices) or automation.
Ability to lift 50 lbs (23 kg) of equipment, and work on platforms, ladders, and under raised floors and ability to work differing rotations/shifts and non-standard hours.
Nice to Have:
Experience in maintenance of critical facilities (e.g., Data Centers, Pharma/Medical/Electrical installations) including maintenance of UPS systems, generators, and associated devices.
Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), meters, devices, sensors, relays and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, digital metering, or calibration/diagnostic equipment.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with contractors who perform maintenance or projects on these systems.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes, procedures, and equipment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Monitor multiple information streams in the control room and make accurate mission-critical decisions.
Direct the execution of controls system programming, start-up, commission, documentation, and full facilities turnover on assigned projects.
Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.
Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in the data center facilities systems and equipment.
Be responsible for electrical protection and control systems, and work on gathering new automation/controls requirements.
