Data Center Technician, Third-Party Data Centers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting one of the following: operating systems and computer/server hardware or networking protocols.
• Experience with performing component-level repairs on IT equipment.
• Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) of equipment and exert physical effort over extended periods.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays, and shift-based schedules.

Nice to haves:

• 2 years of experience diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer/server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Experience working in a data center or network operation center environment.
• Knowledge of networking, including basic topology and protocols.
• Ability to collaborate with teams and adapt to changes in a dynamic work environment.

What you'll be doing:

• Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure across projects or functions.
• Report issues and troubleshoot equipment or infrastructure problems according to data center procedures.
• Maintain data security and integrity, adhering to Google security standards.
• Repair, fix, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment or infrastructure based on identified issues.
