Software Engineer II, Wear OS

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• 1 year of experience with Android application development.
• Experience with Kotlin development.

Nice to haves

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience with API design, UI, and API development.
• Experience with Android libraries, framework development and building.

What you'll be doing

• Write product or system development code. Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Design and build significant components throughout the stack in Wear OS.
• Improve engineering efficiency by improving internal frameworks and infrastructure. Explore and leverage AI technology in products and tools.
