Software Engineer, Now Playing, Google Pixel

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree
• Experience in programming for Android, Java, or Kotlin

Nice to Haves

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms
• Experience with writing scripts: Dremel, App script, etc.
• Experience with development of Android frameworks (Kotlin)

What You'll Be Doing

• Drive complete development cycles of new Pixel Audio experiences projects, from requirements and design through implementation and establishing test plans
• Architect and implement features such as new UI experiences for Now Playing app
• Develop the team’s infrastructure by implementing new systems in areas such as telemetry, on-device diagnostics, and updatability
• Collaborate closely with Android platform teams on enabling new generations of Pixel: SysUI, Settings, Android System Intelligence
• Develop expertise in audio technologies as well as android framework code, and android app development
